Volusia County Public Library is a member of the Federal Depository Library Program. This program makes available to the public no-fee access to information produced by Federal agencies.

The Lyonia Environmental Center (LEC) provides visitors with a unique insight into Volusia County’s fragile ecosystems. The center promotes an understanding of the county’s natural environment, the heritage it sustains, and the challenges it faces.

Library green initiatives

Join the Volusia County Public Library's childrens sections
from DeLand, Edgewater and Ormond Beach
in creating crafts by recycling materials
such as old DVDs,
CDs, blue jeans, cardboard and old holiday cards.

The Volusia County Public Library, with 14 branches and a huge inventory of books and periodicals, is a natural place to promote environmental awareness and recycling. The library is a partner in the Green Volusia program.

The goal of Volusia County wateratlas is to provide a comprehensive data resource, eventually covering the State of Florida, that helps citizens and scientists alike make informed decisions concerning our vital water resources.
