Children’s Book Club – Children’s Book Club – Children’s Book Club is an interactive literacy program designed to develop reading, comprehension, and social skills through guided conversations or activities about a featured book or genre.  School-age children are introduced to basic literary terms, themes, and topics through conversations or activities about pre-selected books or genres.

Gametastic!

Gametastic Gametastic is an interactive gaming program designed to maximize play as a means of developing critical thinking skills, social skills, or strategy skills.  Children are introduced to various games and gaming techniques through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment. 

Homeschool Huddle

Homeschool Huddle – Homeschool Huddle is an interdisciplinary literacy program designed to encourage social and collaborative learning in an educational environment.  Homeschool learners are introduced to varied educational topics and concepts in a group setting and will learn about library resources for research.

IMAGINE & EXPLORE: Scavenger Hunt

IMAGINE & EXPLORE – IMAGINE & EXPLORE is an interactive learning program designed to maximize exploration and guided play as a means of developing critical thinking skills, social skills, math and reading literacies, and problem-solving skills.    Children will maximize curiosity and develop thinking skills through guided play with pre-determined problem-solving activities such as scavenger hunts, escape challenges, activity stations, word or math puzzles, etc.  

Movie Time

Movie Time – Movie Time is a multi-sensory learning activity that stimulates critical thinking skills, creativity, and imagination.  Through selected movies, children may enjoy stories that foster feelings of empathy and sensitivity, may experience story elements such as character development and conflict resolution, or that simply spark their imaginations.

Quick Crafts

Quick CraftsQuick Crafts is a physical literacy program designed to develop fine motor and critical thinking skills.  School-age children will tap into their creativity by constructing crafts from a variety of materials provided in the children’s section. Supplies may be limited.

S.T.R.E.A.M. Engineering with LEGO™

S.T.R.E.A.M. - S.T.R.E.A.M. is an interactive multi-literacy program that integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math concepts aimed at developing innovation, imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. School age children are introduced to the building blocks of one or more S.T.R.E.A.M. learning concepts through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment.
