The Allen County Public Library is the second largest library for genealogical materials. You can search its catalog for titles to obtain by interlibrary loan.

"In partnership with the Allen County Public Library, it brings one of the largest index of genealogical periodicals to the internet." This site has a searchable Social Security Death Benefits Index.

This site has links to many African American genealogy resources.

Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the Web
From Cyndi Howell, genealogy research on the Internet. This site has over 25,100 links, categorized and cross referenced, in over 70 categories. One of the richest sites for genealogical research.

Daytona Beach Daughters of the American Revolution
The web site for the Daytona Beach chapter of the DAR, with links to the Florida and National DAR.

Everton's Genealogical Helper Magazine
Online edition of the the popular magazine.

FamilySearch
From The Church of Jesus Christ of the Later-Day Saints, search for ancestors.

FamilyTreeMaker
Includes Internet Family Finder, helpful web sites and genealogy help.

Federation of Genealogical Societies
The home page of the Federation of Genealogical Societies. More than 500 societies are members and there is a search engine to search Society Hall for a society near you.

Flagler County Florida GenWeb Project
A Web site with genealogical and local history links of interest to Flagler County and Florida researchers. It also has a link to the national United States Genealogy Web site.

Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution
The web site for Daytona-Ormond Chapter of the SAR, with links to Florida chapters and the national site.

Features eight separate search engines to help research family history.

HeritageQuest
Contains a catalog of genealogy microfilm including Census, passenger lists and military records.

GenForum
A free query board for finding genealogy information posted by people who work on the same families. You can search all the surname forums at once or jumpfrom one forum to another. County, state, country and some Indian Tribe forums are included. If there isn't one you need, you can add one!

Mayflower Web Pages
Caleb Johnson's Mayflower Web pages started with a simple passenger list. It now includes for genealogist, links to Mayflower wills, addresses of important record offices, and information on Mayflower lineage societies. It also gives the history of the ship Mayflower, full texts of early Plymouth writings, clothing worn by the Pilgrims, and the history of the Thanksgiving holiday and the first Thanksgiving proclamation.

Orange County Grantor-Grantee Index
The Orange County Comptroller's homepage has recently added this index for Orange County Official Records back to 1955. Actual documents are to be added during the next year.

National Archives Genealogy Page
A web site from the National Archives and Records Administration that provides many of the finding aids, guides, and research tools for genealogy. Among its links is one for the Soundex Converter.

National Genealogical Society
The National Genealogical Society Home Page, with links to NGS programs, library, and calendar of events.

Online Genealogical Database Index
The Genealogical Database Index "contains links to all known genealogical databases searchable through the Web. It is limited to searchable databases and does not include links to sites devoted to family unless it is searchable.

RootsWeb Genealogical Data Cooperative
"The internet's oldest and largest genealogy resource". A marriage of search engines, databases and software to let you search for records online. The Roots L library has files on how to obtain vital records, tips for beginners, and book lists. The Roots Surname lists over 200,000 surnames.

U.S. Gazetteer
The U.S. Gazetteer identifies places to view using the Tiger Map Server to obtain 1900 census data.

Volusia Computer Genealogy Group
Home page of this local organization dedicated to helping family history researchers use computers effectively.

Volusia County Florida GenWeb Project
A Web site with genealogical and local history links of interest to Volusia County and Florida researchers. It also has a link to the national United States Genealogy Web site.

Volusia County Genealogical Society
VCGS assists the Volusia County Library at City Island by staffing the wonderful Genealogy and  History Research Room.   Society Members are on hand to offer assistance with your family roots, whether you are a beginner or a veteran researcher.
