HeritageQuest
Contains a catalog of genealogy microfilm including Census, passenger lists

GenForum
A free query board for finding genealogy information posted by people who
work on the same families. You can search all the surname forums at once
or jumpfrom one forum to another. County, state, country and some Indian
Tribe forums are included. If there isn't one you need, you can add one!
Mayflower Web
Pages
Caleb Johnson's Mayflower Web pages started with a simple passenger list.
It now includes for genealogist, links to Mayflower wills, addresses of important
record offices, and information on Mayflower lineage societies. It also gives
the history of the ship Mayflower, full texts of early Plymouth writings,
clothing worn by the Pilgrims, and the history of the Thanksgiving holiday
and the first Thanksgiving proclamation.
Orange
County Grantor-Grantee Index
The Orange County Comptroller's homepage has recently added this index for
Orange County Official Records back to 1955. Actual documents are to be added
during the next year.
National
Archives Genealogy Page
A web site from the National Archives and Records Administration that provides
many of the finding aids, guides, and research tools for genealogy. Among
its links is one for the Soundex Converter.
National Genealogical
Society
The National Genealogical Society Home Page, with links to NGS programs,
library, and calendar of events.
Online Genealogical Database
Index
The Genealogical Database Index "contains links to all known genealogical
databases searchable through the Web. It is limited to searchable databases
and does not include links to sites devoted to family unless it is searchable.
RootsWeb Genealogical
Data Cooperative
"The internet's oldest and largest genealogy resource". A marriage of search
engines, databases and software to let you search for records online. The Roots
L library has files on how to obtain vital records, tips for beginners, and book
lists. The Roots Surname lists over 200,000 surnames.
U.S. Gazetteer
The U.S. Gazetteer identifies places to view using the Tiger Map Server to
obtain 1900 census data.

Home page of this local organization dedicated to helping family history
researchers use computers effectively.
