Our Lit Kit to Go service was so popular over the summer we are now making it a permanent service.

We have also expanded the service to include Infant/Toddler ages 0-2 and Preschool ages 3-5.

Lit Kits include library books, activities, and other educational materials. Kits will be filled and picked up on a weekly basis (or less frequently, depending on patron preference).

Volusia Reads Stories!

 The Library is streaming storytimes live on our FaceBook page! Parents and young children can watch a storytime on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am.

1000 Books before Kindergarten logo1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program

Join this exciting program for children ages 0 to 5. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. Enroll at your local branch!

Volusia Reads Bilingual!

Volusia Reads Bilingual is an interactive, bilingual literacy program designed for children ages 0-5 years old. Children and their caregivers are introduced to basic building blocks of literacy, in English and Spanish.

Join Miss Zurima and Ms. Leti for a fun, visual and interactive way to learn the geometric shapes (Las Formas) in Spanish.

Tune in for another installment of "Why Read?" on Education Station! Miss Mary and Ms. Karen talk about why you should read science fiction and share a variety of wonderful titles from this exciting genre!

Kindergarten Readiness

We will explore different themes, presenting tools and activities that will help your child succeed in Kindergarten.

Ms. Leti from the Deltona Public Library talks about mixing and making colors for a rainbow of fun. What is your favorite color? Is it a primary or a secondary color? Join us for a colorful time.

It's STREAM with candy! Join Carly at the Oak Hill Public Library as she makes DNA and builds structures using candy and toothpicks.

Miss Humblebee's Academy

Miss Humblebee's Academy is an interactive kindergarten-readiness program that introduces children ages three to six to key concepts in math, science, social studies, language and literacy, art, and music. It's as challenging as it is fun! For ages 3-6.
